Enhancing Women’s Bean Project,
a non-profit organization with the mission to change women’s lives by providing stepping stones to self-sufficiency through social enterprise.

The Challenge

Women’s Bean Project (WBP) is a transitional employment program of seven months serving women who have struggled to obtain and maintain employment. The employment of the women joining the program is key to breaking out of poverty and staying out of prison. The women enter the role of production assistant and work in the food manufacturing business, making and packaging all the products WBP sells.

ESIDE was tasked to enhance the brand of WBP, while meeting the very tight costing guidelines of a non-profit organization.

The Design Process

ESIDE worked on a variety of projects, such as the design of new packaging, the strengthening of the online communication, the improvement of existing information material, and the creation of new photos, banners, flyers, catalogues, etc.
The design process consisted of respecting and improving the design and communications guidelines of WBP.
ESIDE worked in tight collaboration with the departments of marketing and program development to meet the needs of both teams.

The Outcome

WBP keeps bringing ahead its mission successfully thanks to the efforts of its wonderful team, which ESIDE has proudly joined since 2019. 93% of the formerly chronically unemployed women are still employed a year later.
